Habitats of the Indiana Bat
The Indiana Bats have two separate habitats.

The Indiana Bat lives in trees during the spring and summer seasons so they are able to roost.
Roosting is when the bats settle in to rest and sleep.
Some roost trees can hold hundreds of mothers and their pups.
Most roost trees are exposed directly to sunlight throughout the day.

Winter
The Indiana Bat hibernates in limestone caves during the autumn and winter seasons.
During hibernation the bats form large compact clusters. The clusters can have as many at 500 bats per square feet.
This hibernation last 6 months.
